The Romana earrings are inspired by the beautiful triumphal arches that are an integral part of ancient Roman architecture. These arches symbolize fortitude and strength and bring together grandiose structures. Traditionally, they were built to honor victorious events such as a victory or the arrival of a new emperor.
The Romana earrings in particular are designed after the Arch of Constantine which is the largest Roman triumphal arch that extends through the Via Triumphalis in Rome. This was the entrance to the city when the emperors arrived triumphant.
